Message from the President

Mississippi Counseling Association
A Time to Celebrate!
This year marks a very special time in our Mississippi Counseling Association history. We celebrate a milestone-- six decades of thriving. Therefore, I selected the following theme for this year: 60th Year Anniversary, A Diamond Celebration: Still Shining.
The name diamond is derived from the ancient Greek αδÜμας (adámas), which means "proper", "unalterable", "unbreakable”, and “untamed”. A diamond is the hardest known natural material. Most natural diamonds are formed at high-pressure high-temperature conditions. The hardness of diamond contributes to its suitability as a gemstone. It can only be scratched by other diamonds, and, therefore, maintains its polish extremely well. (Source: http://en.wikipedia.org)
We celebrate and salute the MCA Past-Presidents who provided dedicated, outstanding leadership to help this great organization reach its 60th Anniversary:
Sixty years and counting!! MCA is still enduring pressure, maintaining its strength, performing at remarkable standards, and receiving accolades from various local, state, and national agencies and organizations. Our organization exhibits all the characteristics of a precious jewel, a gemstone. Despite obstacles that might lie ahead, MCA will continue to be strong, MCA will continue to thrive, and MCA will continue to shine. Therefore, it is quite befitting to proclaim, with exhilaration, MCA - 60th Year Anniversary, A Diamond Celebration: Still Shining!
